Exploring the Art of Filmmaking
Projects in Development
AVIP Films is an indie studio I founded to make the kind of crime stories I want to see, noir-inspired, morally complicated, and centered on South Asian characters.
We're interested in antiheroes, not role models. In power dynamics, betrayal, and the gray areas where people make choices they can't take back. Our protagonists and antagonists are South Asian, not as a gimmick, but because these stories deserve to exist in the same shadowy, stylized worlds that noir has always explored.
We develop projects from concept to pitch-ready packages, working with writers and creatives who understand that genre storytelling and cultural authenticity aren't mutually exclusive.
Our goal is simple: to create a new wave of crime cinema that feels both classic and necessary, rooted in South Asian experience but built for global audiences.
